Vipassana Meditation! The Art of Living, as taught by S.N.Goenka

A UNIVERSAL TECHNIQUE
Vipassana means ' to see things as they really are'. Vipassana meditatio is a universal technique of mental training and ethical conduct and is the essence of what the Buddha taught more than 2500 years ago. Vipassana works on the basis that all human beings share the same problems and that a universal, practical technique can also eradicate these problems. Therefore it can be practised regardless of race, gender, religion or belief system.

Vipassana involves no dependence on a teacher, but rather teaches those who practise it to be self-dependent.

COURSE FINANCES

Course are run solely on a donation basis. There are no charges for the courses, not even to cover the cost of food and accommodation. All expenses are met by donantions from those who have completed a course, experienced the benefits of Vipassana, and wish to give others the same opportunity. Neither the teacher nor the assistant teachers receive remuneration; they and those who organize the course volunteer their time.

Vipassana is a practical technique which enables one to lead a more positive, balance and happy life.

Vipassana Meditation
Vipassana meditation is a straightforward, scientific way to achieve real peace of mind and lead a happy, useful life.

From time to time everyone suffers agitation, frustration and disharmony. Unfortunately, this suffering does not remain limited; often it is distributed to others. Clearly, this is not a proper way to live. Everyone wishes to live peacefully and harmoniously, because human beings are social beings, and have to live and interact with others. The problem therefore is how to live harmoniously within.
